June 9, 2010

Hawthorn is flowering now.

The white hawthorn is beautiful, the red hawthorn is even more beautiful. Together they are exceptional:

Thank you. In fact I had the FIFA World Cup in mind when the idea to this post began : Football is a great issue here i Denmark – because little DK qualified again this time. The Danish fans are called “Rooligans” ( a mix of Hooligan + Rolig=Calmly ), because they normally behave peacefully with their red+white-coloured flags and dresses. So we end up again with the extensive Danish use of our flag and its red+white colour…….( March 28, May 2, and March 18)
Only one member here in my family has played much football, my 12 year old son, and he plays for us all – is serious and ambitious! – this post is dedicated to his great pleasure in playing football 🙂
I will soon make another post about this….

That red-pink colour is gorgeous, even more so in contrast with the white. You are so right – the two colours go together perfectly. I didn’t know these are hawthorn blossoms – thank you for teaching us. 🙂

Thanks for your comment – do you have hawthorn in South Africa?
