Flowers in my garden / Creative exposure (1)

Scott Thomas‘ latest assignment is “Creative exposure”.

For me this a challenge to enter some – for me – new tracks in the photo-jungle.

The first track is (in my garden 🙂 ) to use the zoom in my DMZ-FZ8 combined with lowest aperture-value to play with the background of the picture. I have not a tripod (and I never use the zoom), so many creative substitutes from the garden like chairs, tools, piles and more had to be used as “tripods”!…

Here is a view up in my cherry tree (it looks like we will get many cherries again this year!) – the blue sky and the many flowers behind gives a nice, light background to the flowers in focus.

The second photo I have selected is (like the first one) taken with full zoom (432 mm), F 3.3, ISO 100, 1/1000 and a exp. comp. -0,66. It shows a closer look at the lovely flowers, but also a nice coloured dark green deep background (a privet hedge under the tree) – in contrast to the light colours above in the tree….

In the third one the same setting are used – except that exp. comp. now is -1.33 and WB is set to cloudy, which gives a different lighter background, and the colours are much warmer now….
