“Sort Sol” – # 4

 SORT SOL (Translated into English: Black Sun).  Very large numbers of migrational starlings gather in the marshlands in spring and autumn when they move between their winter grounds in southern Europe and their summer breeding grounds in Scandinavia.  Large flocks form huge formations in the sky just before they decide for a location to roost for the night.

    This is a wonderful sight to see. Weren’t you lucky that it happened in front of you.

      From the end of September and at least for a month you can see this every year (and in the spring too) So I must admit that it did not require much luck to see the phenomenon🙂
