Tünel,  Istanbul

Tünel is the second-oldest subterranean urban rail line in the world, after the London Underground. The underground railway tunnel goes uphill from close to sea level and is about 573 metres long.

    I had no idea that this underground line in Istanbul is the second oldest in the world.

      Nor had I… And it’s steep, short – but connects two parts of the city, where the streets between are the steep, long and very difficult to pass.

      Det er jo ikke nogen lang tur, men det går stejlt opad. Men det er I jo vant til i Norge!!
