West Coast

April 2, 2013

1 b px

I spent some days arond Easter along the Danish West Coast.

As some of you know I often go there – and have been doing that for over 50 years.

It is long since I’ve seen snow here. Further east in Denmark, there has been much snow in a long time, but here was obviously only small amounts.
But the cold and the wind was strong – and the sun was shining every day from a blue sky …..

It does look cold, but very beautiful too.

I had some wonderful days out there – the cold made the air very clear – nice for long walks and photographing 🙂

Kaldt, blått, vakkert men lute snø. Nydelig himmet.

I’ve never seen snow at the beach before, I think it must be quite a strange experience. It looks like a beautiful beach to enjoy walking on.

When the snow is falling and the winter is hard (like this has been!) the wind is always coming from east (from the continental climate in Central Europe). That’s why it seldom snows very much in the very far western coast of Denmark. So it’s an unusual sight for me too…..

Nice composition, Truels – having the people in the foreground and far away in the distance really enhances the feeling of scale and vastness.

Thanks, Reggie. Not many places with vastness in Denmark except out here.
And the two in the foreground is one of my daughter and her boyfriend 🙂
