Only a few days until Easter.

And we have still plenty of winter weather in Denmark.

A bush in my garden – and a bathing-jetty at Ballehage  south of Århus.

Strong winds and snowfall most of the time  today (and the snow “falls” horizontally – as seen in photo no. 5……..)

A very cold day.

This is my contribution to Scott Thomas‘ latest assignment Black & White Photography.

Lovely photos even if you are in the cold. Spring started for the US, but the northern hemisphere is still cold.

You have a very nice collection of black and white photos. Makes me cold just to look at them. I take it you went swimming? My favourite is the frozen bench on the bathing-jetty. Brrrr.

Ha, I have several friends taking a swim here – all the year! In fact, it was one of these brave friends, who sent me some photos from her (almost) daily swim at Ballehage, that made me decide to go there – with lots of clothes and my camera !!! But you Norwegians – you are Vikings, aren’t you?!

I feel your winter won’t leave pain, but despite that, I have to say the ice on the jetty, pier, bench is magnificent.

Gosh – the freezing temperatures really come across here! I love the sidewards-facing icicles. I’ve never seen anything quite like that before!

Fabulous black-and-white images, Truels. The beach photo is extraordinary, it’s almost glaringly bright! I like the effect. And I also really like the one underneath the pier with the icicles hanging down.

My friend Birgit is swimming here from the jetty – all the year around! And she showed me her photo (see above) from there – and inspired me to go there. I do not know, if she was wearing clothes or not shooting her surfer! 😉

What a great choice of pictures in B/W, Truels ! The icicles are certainly spectacular and perfect for this challenge. I do enjoy the first picture though, of a more wintery type, very similar to my landscape a few days ago.
