October 6, 2012

This is my first portrait of some of the many wonderful and friendly Africans I met on my travel in Africa this summer. This guy I met in Nairobi, Kenya.

Ærgerligt, at han ikke ville vise sine få tænder! Dét var et karakteristisk smil 🙂

Hej Lisbeth! Hyggeligt at se dig her – jeg kan ikke engang huske, at han havde få tænder 🙂

Wonderful portrait here, nice exposure and nice and simple background!

Thank you, claus. I was lucky both with the model and the background!

Hard to tell how big he is but the first impression I got was “Gentle Giant”. Good use of aperture to separate him from the busy background.

He was definitely not a giant! I am 185 cm tall – and he was much smaller than me. The vast majority of Africans are – like him – much lower than I and other Europeans are.

A warm African smile, thank you. Love the Malian musician, Koité.

He was a great guy – and I’m glad you liked “my” African music 😉

Absolutt en du vil be om å bli kjent med – vennligheten selv.

What a lovely smile. He seems like a great lad. What was his name?

    • June 6, 2014 7:35 pm

Thanks for your comment! He was a driver, but I have forgotten his name 🙂
