      In fact there were MANY of them some places in Serengeti, and they knew what to do when there were people around: Come over and beg for food ….

      It certainly does not resemble a Danish starling – it’s pretty anonymous and gray ….

      Ha, ha – ja papegøjer er jo også ofte meget farverige – det er nok derfor, at mange af os elsker disse fugle.

      You are right that its gaze does not look friendly, and really they were also quite aggressive at this location where the photo was taken – they came right up to us to beg for food!

    That is quite some spectacular colours. Wonderfully captured in this close-up. Seems like you have a splendid time in Africa. Quite a continent, isn’t it?

      I took me 58 years to obtain visiting this great continent! And I do not think it takes a very long time before I return 🙂

    Denne tok også jeg bilde av. Det var mange av disse som fløy rundt. Herlig bilde, – flotte farger!

    In Finland we have plenty of starlings, but they are not so colorful than this one You photographed. Your photo is great!
