Australian Open

January 28, 2012

These days the tennis tournament, Australian Open, is played in Melbourne.

I was in Australia last year at this time – and followed the tournament – on TV!

Australian Open 2011: Novak Djokovic is defeating Andy Murray in the men’s finals last year:

I followed the match – and enjoyed an Australian beer – which  was tasty, but very expensive (even compared to Denmark!).

The beer sure looks good (even if it’s expensive!)

I found not only the beer – but most things – in Australia surprising expensive. We here in Denmark have for long been told, that we live in the most expensive place in the world: We don’t!!!

This was in fact the finals – last year. Now they play the finals this year, and Djokovic is playing finals again!

This is great photo. The beer at foreground is giving depth to the image!!! Nearly three-dimensional image. Congratulations!

The tennis has been very exciting to watch on tv. Seven years ago, I was fortunate enough to be at Rod Laver watching Agassi vs Ferrera and John McEnroe was mc. It was special.

Nice shot! Beer (like everything else) is depressingly expensive in Australia, which is ridiculous – we drink so much of it we should get a bulk discount!

It’s real expensive and nice Australian beer (mine!) – it is standing on my table, but I haven’t been seeing before, that I looks like it’s standing on the floor 😉

You should try our Namibian beer – our family favourite is Windhoek Light or Windhoek Lager, which is brewed according to the German ‘Reinheitsgebot’. Delicious!
