Aussie abstract # 1

January 21, 2012

Bark of trees can create beautiful images. This is captured in Australia in January 2011.

I think it’s a gum tree.

Beautiful abstract, like Xandi I see a face in it. Eucalypts are wonderful trees, their bark is either rough or smooth, like this one. I also made a few pictures I like a lot while walking in the bush or in the many parks of Melbourne. Well seen, truels.

Yes, Eucalyptus is by far the most common tree in Australia. And this is neither the first – or the last – picture of this amazing tree here on this blog 🙂 When did you travel in Australia?

I travelled there in 2007 and stayed mainly in Victoria state, Melbourne and surroundings, the Goldfields area, the bush, the little towns with so much character, a lot to visit and enjoy !

I am so happy that you liked this abstract. Direct and concrete messages are good – and important! -. but we also need pictures and informations (art!), which can let your imagination start and which can be interpreted and show the complexity of our world.
I appreciate your friendship very much and am proud to be your distant ( distant – but only measured in kilometers -!!!! ) friend, and I am delighted whenever I read your personal and great comments!
I’m looking forward to read, what you think of the video?

You know how a great image stays in one’s mind? This one has for me. I can’t help wondering what caused those squiggles.

I am honored and pleased by how my image has made an impression on you! I think the pattern is created by an animal that has crawled into or under the bark of the tree.
