I love this very special tree in the Botanical Garden in Aarhus. This is a Chinese Red Birch (Betula albosinensis var. septentrionalis).
The Danish name is “Kobber Birk” (Translation: Copper Birch).
The pink-bloomed bark is so unusual and beautiful!
Wow! I’ll say!!! Love how you chose to photograph this!

Beautiful. We have lovely white birches here. Just imagine a candy-cane forest with alternate red and white birches.

I would like to see – and photgraph! – a forest with these birches too!

Interesting and beautiful. The thick black border enhances your photo. -I was just about to urge you to go there again and take a sharper picture – until I clicked on it and saw the large version. The image scaling in wordpress is not the best possible….

En veldig artig sak, både en abstraksjon og samtidig et bilde av naturen sik den er. Bra.

This photo from that beautiful tree specially in your camera’s close up is very fantastic . A kind of autumnal colors makes it perfect .
I saw that cloudy paradise .. It seems sky is coming to earth ! Lovely .
Have a good day .

OK – do you not have many species of birch in Finland?

A very beautiful still life and lovely shot. So many variations in shades ! I did not know of this kind of birch tree. There are my favourite trees with the larch trees.

I grew up with white birches in New York but I never knew there was a species elsewhere with red bark. Live and learn.
