Summer retrospect / 4
September 8, 2011
Summer in Denmark is not always the same as sunshine, blue sky and warm temperatures ….
We clearly could feel this in Denmark this summer! As reflected by some of my entries here 🙂
According to the DMI (Danish Meteorological Institute) the rainfall this year was 321 mm rain in average this summer. Only two mm less than the record in this country from 1980 – 323 mm!
Fortunately, there have been days this summer with reasonable weather. The images in this (and the following) posts are fortunately without rain!
This is a view from the dunes in July at Jutland’s west coast.Let’s have a closer look at one of the many small flowers here:

Sure we had lots of rain this summer.
But the few days we were in this lovely part of Denmark we had sun and up to 27C. Your fine pictures enhances my memory.
Beautiful contrast between the yellow and purple/blue flowers.

I’m glad you had fine weather in West Jutland. Where did you stay? And did you had a swim in the sea? (we did!)

We stayed just south of “Nationalpark Thy”
We had a swim in the sea at Klitmøller. We try to have a swim every morning. It gives a good feeling that lasts All day.

The weather has been crazy everywhere (wonder why?), but looking at these photos, all I can say is that I want to be there.

The weather and climate is changing a lot many places on our planet these years. One problem is that we human beings have enough power to change climate, but we haven’t enough wisdom to understand what we do……

I’ve got a “spring” – feeling watching these flowers… Nice!
Etter mange dager med sol så kom regnet i dag. Jeg håper at det er kun forbigående. Skal på fototur til Rondane og høstfjellet der…
Ha en fortsatt fin søndag!

I hope you had a nice walk up there in Norway! Here in Denmark it is RAINING A LOT – also here in the beginning of autumn 😦

Lovely photos. Here we had warm summer again, but occasionally the rain amount has been big. This week (number 37) will be full with rain; well, not so nice.

Love the first image, it even looks like it has a little breeze there. I wonder if it were hot and humid when you took the picture.

The weather was rather cold and windy – not the best summer weather…
