Gum tree art

August 23, 2011

Here is one more shot of the fascinating Australian  Gum trees or Eucaluptus. 700 species can be found there of that tree. Amazing how the bark is loose on this species….

I will be back with many more travel photos later, but my next posts will be a “Danish Summer Review” series…..

Summer in Denmark? You sure? 😉

Wow…700 species of one kind of tree. I have enough trouble with the few oak and maple species I need to know around here.

These trees are so different – and gum trees are growing in ALL conditions and climates in Australia!

It is amazing the way the bark seems to peel away from the tree.

It’s always so wonderful to find art in nature…..and often the most simple lines create the most artistic pieces. This is lovely.

Great shot – love the abstract feeling the strong shadows give it.

Art is right! This is a beautiful capture of the gum tree bark. Your heart leaf below is also very nice, Truels.
