Happy New Year!

December 31, 2010

It’s been a fantastic photo year for me in 2010. For the first time in many years I have learned incredibly much new things about photography – thanks to that I finally succeeded in creating this blog a year ago – in January 2010 – with big help from first Birgitte and later many of you blogger friends.
But my collage today also illustrates some of the highlights of 2010 for me:

My eldest daughter left Mårslet in January – and moved to a cozy apartment in a nice neighborhood in Trøjborg in Aarhus. She studies political science at Aarhus University – and enjoys her new life and is doing her studies fine.

My second eldest daughter graduated last summer from Odder Gymnasium and got a fine exam – congratulations to her! She has since worked hard to earn money, which she will spend on a long travel to Asia in 2011 with her girlfriend.

My son has again spent much energy on football and handball – and with all his good friends, and he is doing fine in school with all his new teachers. And we had wonderful holidays with him and his friends at the West Jutland coast and in Crete.

I have again spent many nice hours with family and friends in and around Mårslet – and in my garden – now often with a new friend – my camera 😉 And I am looking forward to next spring, the flowers blooming, to strawberries – and to enjoy my new vines on the new trellis around our patio.

December 2010 has been the coldest in Denmark for 29 years 😦 . And in 2010 it has been frost and snow here in Denmark for more than 4 months, so I hope 2011 will be a warmer year 🙂

Finally I wish all you great fellow bloggers and readers a peaceful, lucky and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year. I wish that it started well. I read with great pleasure about Your family, that’s great. Your son has nice hobbies like football and handball. Guess if my grandson is playing ice-hockey, yes.

You idea to make that beautiful collage is great.

I expect to see this year more of Your fine photos and stories at background of them.

Happy new year, Truels! This is a brilliant photo collage! All the photos complement each other really well imo! I particularly like the two photos center left, and I love shot of the hats, too! I thought those sorts of things only happened in films ;)!
    Great work!

Thank you, Kai. Happy New Year to you too! The throwing of all the hats is one of the traditions at Odder Gymnasium. The students drink beer of their hats at the graduation parties, writing names and greetings in them and much more, and they throw them up in the air at the official graduation ceremony where they will receive diplomas. My oldest daughter graduated two years before her sister.
