October landscape

October 26, 2010

The view over a typical Danish landscape on a clear and sunny October day.

It is shot from road 170 (called Skanderborgvej) south of Hasselager, and it is the view towards south-east and Aarhus Bay  (Århus Bugt).

    This is Denmark!
It could be spring or it could be autumn.
The fine light green stripe of sunlight lifts the image.

Thank you for your comment, Carsten. Although we live in a small country – there are many beautiful places here in Denmark 😉 And guess which beautiful place I visited today? “My” Oak! (and yes – I brought my camera…)

A new camera. NOW I’m curious. What have you decided to buy?

Ooh yes, I am also curious, Truels! What camera did you buy?

This is such a beautiful landscape shot, all shadowy and light – also love that green stripe, it makes it come alive. Do you always have your camera and tripod with you when you go driving around? And do you often pull off the side of the road to take photos like this?

Sorry – no new camera 😦 – I’m glad you like the landscape too, I often bring my camera – and now also my tripod – it is small and low in weight and is easy to carry in my backpack – and it works very well and fast: I can really recommend this tripod (Manfrotto 7302YB)

I really like your shots of farmland, flat or hilly, maybe it reminds me of growing up in Minnesota or my Danish roots are reacting to their homeland.

Yes, my great-grandfather migrated to the USA and lived until a month shy of his 100th birthday. I always say I have Danish feet & used to order my shoes from Denmark because they actually fit.
