Moesgård

You may know, that I like nature, plants, trees, landscapes….
But not only that!
Just a few hundred meters from the spot with the oak in my previous post is the old manor, Moesgård – now a museum with archaeological and ethnographic collections. The surroundings of the fine museum contains a nice manor-garden, an old corn mill, a 4 km prehistoric path and a lot of reconstructed buildings from the old Denmark – one is the stave church from the Viking Age.

Yes, in the old days Moesgård was a big manor, and the lord of the manor and his family lived in the buildings, and a lot of servants and farm workers were occupied there. The main building build in neo-classicistic style was finished in 1778. The building owner was Baron Gyldenkrone.

Nice photo! I love the strong contrast of light and dark, with the shadow area and the sunlight shining on the building in the background. Also, it’s an interesting perspective.
