Flowers in my garden – Viburnum bodnantense – Japanese snowball

April 22, 2010

Viburnum bodnantense

– Japanese snowball

In Danish we call this bush “Kejserbusk” = “Emperorbush” – the english name is quite differrent (if my translation is right??). Normally it is flowering much earlier – in winter. But this year it’s now! And I love this bush flowering 🙂

    Thanks for this post Truels.
I have two of these in the garden, and didn’t know their name.
It is beautiful flowers. I is probably the earliest flowers. -Except for a few autonome flowers on the ‘Spring Gold’ -Forsythia.

I have a viburnum, too! but a different variety. Mine is a ‘Korean Spice’ viburnum and oh, the scent is heavenly! I’ve tried to get some shots of the blossoms but nothing I like so far. Hopefully, I will succeed! 🙂 I love the pink buds that burst open to pink-tinged white flowers – so pretty!
