Savannah Panorama
Please click and watch the photo!
This is a view over the vast savannah near Ngorongoro in Tanzania.
A beautiful and magnificent landscape, but at the same time it also illustrates how small people and animals are:
Look to the left and you will find two Maasai herders moving in a fast trot. I followed them for some time, they were apparently on their way without their cattle. On foot – as they are accustomed to.
Farther to the right and back several herds of cattle can be seen in the distance against the horizon. And their Masai herders….
Something else, that is clearly illustrated here, is the problem I mentioned the other day in my previous post: How details are missing or faded, so it is necessary to click a couple of times on the image to view these….

Wauw! Det ligner jo næsten et månelandskab. Flot billede!! Jeg glæder mig til at se dig snart
I lige måde
Ja, månelandskab beskriver det meget fint, kan du huske stedet, hvor jeg tog billedet?!
I’m so glad you highlighted the maasai herders, so I could find them when I made the photo bigger. This is africa at its best, a vast and beautiful landscape which you have captured so wonderfully with your camera.
It is very typical for northern Tanzania here – and probably much more of Africa…
Beautiful image, Truels. You really should seek out a more appropriate theme to show off your images. How’s the search going?
Now I try to use pixel-size 600 for the width of the images…. To be honest I can not really see an improvement….. so maybe the next step is another theme.?…
What an amazing photo. Glad you pointed out the herders. They look like ants !!
Thanks for your comment, Sybil!
Herlig scene dette. Kjenner duftene og føler varmen…
Ja, du har jo også været her! God weekend, Hans.
Glad you pointed out the details, Truels – you’re so right, the people are tiny in this vast landscape!
Thanks for (all!!!!) your nice comments, Reggie!
You’re welcome! This is such a nice series of photos of your visit to Tanzania… you clearly had a great time.
