This is my first portrait of some of the many wonderful and friendly Africans I met on my travel in Africa this summer. This guy I met in Nairobi, Kenya.

Hard to tell how big he is but the first impression I got was “Gentle Giant”. Good use of aperture to separate him from the busy background.
He was definitely not a giant! I am 185 cm tall – and he was much smaller than me. The vast majority of Africans are – like him – much lower than I and other Europeans are.
